Our major political parties
have proposed solutions to creating jobs through raising taxes, reducing taxes,
increasing spending, decreasing spending etc. None of these approaches guarantee
success, nor is it guaranteed that the jobs created will be non exportable
and renewable annually for at least the next ten years or longer.
Listed below is
one idea that can be parlayed into the following benefits:
-
The creation
of millions of new non exportable jobs
-
The creation
of hundreds of thousands of new enterprises
-
A reduction
in oil imports by millions of gallons
-
A reduction
in the price of oil
-
A reduction
in military expenses
-
A reduction
in non military expenses
-
A reduction
in the cost of non military government contracts
-
A reduction
in the cost of maintaining federal buildings
-
A reduction
in carbon emissions
-
A reduction
in global warming
-
A reduction
in health insurance costs
-
A reduction
in commutation costs
-
A reduction
in unemployment insurance costs
-
An increase
in social security collections
-
An increase
in income tax collections
-
An increase
in home values
-
An increase
in the nations spendable income by trillions of dollars
-
Elimination
of deep water drilling concerns
and - last but not lease
-
A
REDUCTION IN THE STRANGLEHOLD THAT THE OIL COMPANIES AND THEIR LOBBYISTS
HAVE ON OUR ECONOMY AND OUR POLITICS
THE IDEA:
Congress should vote to install solar panels and related solar equipment
in each home in the USA at no charge to the home owner.
There are about 100 million homes in the USA. If 100 million homeowners
installed solar systems in their home, at zero cost to themselves, they
would eliminate or drastically reduce their cost of heating and air conditioning.
The labor portion to install these systems would create millions of NEW,
non exportable jobs.
The savings to the homeowner could be split between the homeowner and the
federal government. Over a ten year period the federal government would
more than recoup its original installation costs. Each homeowners spendable
income would increase by 50 percent of his current heating/air conditioning
costs.
The millions of new non exportable jobs created would increase social security
collection, increase income tax collections, and reduce unemployment payments.
100 million solar installations would require thousands of new enterprises
to furnish the material required. Only materials manufactured in the USA
would be approved by the federal government for these installations, thereby
making the material portion for these jobs also non exportable.
The elimination of oil for heating and air conditioning by 100 million homeowners
would reduce our oil imports by millions of gallons, effectively reducing
oil prices, gasoline prices, commutation costs, and deep water drilling
concerns.
The reduction in oil prices would reduce the costs of our military expenditures,
non military government contracts, and the maintenance costs of federal
buildings.
The elimination of oil to heat and air condition 100 million homes, would
reduce carbon emissions, global warming, and health insurance costs.
The elimination of 50% of heating and air conditioning costs to 100 million
homeowners would increase home values, and increase the nation's spendable
income by trillions of dollars.
Increasing the nations spendable income by trillions of dollars would again
be parlayed into the creation of new jobs!
